Careful writing about flight

The Journal is where Jonas Aviation publishes slower and longer pieces: the explanations that deserve more room than a lesson has.

No entries published yet

We would rather show you an honest empty page than invent articles with fake dates. The Journal opens with its first real piece, and until then the Foundations lessons are our published writing.

What it will publish

Concept deep-dives

Longer explanations of ideas the lessons only touch: pressure and why altimeters lie, what a performance chart is really telling you, how controllers sequence traffic.

How we verify

Public notes on how a lesson was checked against official sources, including corrections when we get something wrong.

Simulator meets theory

Pieces that take an experience from the sim chair and unpack the physics and procedures behind it.

Editorial rule: pieces are dated on publication, sourced like lessons, and corrected publicly. Nothing appears here before it is finished.
